Editorial
Editorial Standards and Site Information
This site is an independent, non-commercial reference project about corporate cards, business credit cards, virtual and employee cards, spend management and expense management. This section documents who writes it, how pages are researched, what we refuse to publish, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Information only. This site is a reference project. We do not provide account access, financial services, card applications, payments, credit decisions or official support, and we never ask for account or financial credentials.
Positioning
Independence and scope
Most writing about business cards exists to sell one. This project exists to explain the vocabulary and the mechanics, which means being explicit about what it is not.
This site is not Brex. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by Brex, and it never writes in the voice of any provider. Brand terms are used only to identify the subject matter people are researching when they type queries such as brex card or brex corporate card. Trademarks belong to their respective owners, and the full statement is on the disclaimer.
The scope is deliberately narrow: how business and corporate card categories are structured, how spending controls behave, and how card transactions become accounting records. Within that scope we aim to be genuinely useful. Outside it — pricing, eligibility, approval odds, account support — we send readers to the provider, because those answers change and only the source can be trusted with them.
What this section documents
- Who researches and publishes the pages, and what each contributor covers
- The classes of source we work from and how claims are categorised
- The standards that decide what may and may not be published
- How errors are reported, assessed and corrected
- The legal statements that apply to reading and quoting the site
What this section is not
- A negotiated contract or a substitute for professional advice
- A corporate profile — no entity details, offices or staff numbers are claimed
- A marketing page: there is nothing here to buy, apply for or sign up to
- A record of provider terms, which we deliberately do not reproduce
- A support channel for accounts, cards, payments or credit questions

How the standards apply to every page
The policies are not decorative. Each one changes what actually appears in the content clusters.
| Standard | What it means in the content | What it rules out |
|---|---|---|
| Independence | Structural explanations written in our own voice | Provider marketing language and implied official status |
| No invented facts | Mechanisms described in general terms | Fees, rates, limits, eligibility rules and company figures |
| No fake trust signals | Criteria-based comparison frameworks | Ratings, scores, awards, testimonials and "best of" lists |
| No transactions | Internal links only, to other pages here | Applications, logins, payment forms and credential requests |
| Correctable by design | A dated update stamp and a public contact route | Silent edits to claims that a reader has questioned |
The editorial policy states each standard in full; the methodology explains how it is applied while a page is written.
Content
Where to go next
The editorial section explains the method. The content clusters are where the actual explanations live.
- Cards Card categories, from the brand-led search terms through to virtual and employee cards.
- Spend management Limits, budgets, category rules and employee spending policy.
- Expense management How card transactions become documented, reconciled accounting records.
- Comparisons Structural, criteria-based frameworks with no scoring and no rankings.
- Guides Long-form explainers on cards, controls, startups and corporate finance.
- Company reference What company-level search terms are usually asking, and how to research them.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this the official website of any card provider?
No. This site is an independent informational project with no affiliation to Brex or any other issuer, and it does not speak for any company. For official terms or support, use the provider’s own channels. The full statement is on the disclaimer.
How is the project funded if there is no advertising?
It is a non-commercial reference project. There is no advertising, no affiliate linking, no sponsored placement and no commercial relationship with any card provider, which is exactly why no page needs to recommend anything. The about page covers this in more detail.
Why are there no ratings or "best card" rankings?
Because we do not hold the data that would make a ranking honest, and inventing it would be worse than omitting it. Instead, comparison pages set out criteria and describe structural differences so you can score options against your own requirements.
The reasoning is set out in the editorial policy.
How do I report something that looks wrong?
Email the editorial address listed on the contact page with the page URL and the sentence you are questioning. The fact-checking page explains what happens next and how corrections are handled.
